Odds and ends that I don't have much information on Any that know more let me know and I will add it on here.

I heard that at one time Charlie Ball lastly of Badnellan Sold chips up a The Old School True or false.

There was a woman I used to go to on a Sunday for lemonade It's the only thing you could buy on a Sunday I think she also sold Paraffine.

Her house was opposite Russel's House he had The Joinery business Where Richard Sutherland is now.

Russel also kept Calor gas which he stored in the house I remember going for gas He had little bottles all up the stair.

Also, the Robertsons in Badnellan sold Paraffine I used to go there for my Grannie If I remember it was Half a Crown a Gallon. 25 Pence in today's money

The half crown was a denomination of British money, equivalent to two shillings and sixpence, or one-eighth of a pound. The half crown was first issued in 1549, in the reign of Edward VI.
