Bygone Brora

Welcome to the Bygone Brora website showing the shops and businesses.​

​That were around the Brora area in the last 100 years or so. Some still here many sadly gone.

​

There will be photos of Old and New Starting with current day buildings and going back as far as possible to some of the premises of the very first business.

​

Will colourize photos where the photo condition is suitable It's an automated system to save time and results can be but not always be quite good.

​

With as much text to go with each photo about the history of the particular business.

​

I am also always on the lookout for Old photos Not just Shops anything old that relates to Brora you will get them back safe and sound after I have scanned them.

Slides as well if you have them and Old negative film.

​

The best thing about having a website for Bygone Brora is more people can see it. Also as new Information and Photos come in it can be easily updated.

If you see anything relating to your particular business that you can give me more information on That would be much appreciated.

I get information from lots of people So don't shoot the messenger I just put on here what I am told.

​

And if it's not correct It's easily updated or added to or deleted.

​

I may add extra pages for Weddings, School, Vehicles, etc at a later stage.

Lastly, if there are any information photos and so on here that are not wanted on here for some reason Let me know It will be removed.
